The primary focus of the IATF 16949 standard is the development of a Quality Management System that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. The standard, combine with applicable Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR’s), define the QMS requirements for automotive production, service and/or accessory parts. Our Portage, WI and Lerma, Mexico facilities are certified to the IATF 16949:2016 standard.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) is a systematic framework to manage the immediate and long term environmental impacts of an organization’s products, services and processes. All of Penda’s facilities are certified to ISO 14001 requirements.
Ford Q1 certification represents that a supplier’s facility or manufacturing site has achieved excellence in five important areas: capable systems, high performance, superior manufacturing process, and satisfied customers. All inbound material is tested each day as it enters the facility. All virgin pellets that come into Penda are being tested at our Quality Control department. Upon a completion and pass of all necessary tests, the material gets released for production. The same process is followed for all 5 materials at the pelletizer – 3 regrind materials along with the low-melt and high-melt virgin material are being tested for quality.
